  1.  How did Unified Social Club start?

    1. The Poway Special Needs community has grown over the years. Many families moved to Poway when their families were young. As everyone grew older many family friendships were formed. Unified Social Club has been organized so that these old friendships can be enjoyed and new friendships for newer residents in Poway and surrounding areas can be formed to enjoy for years to come.

    2. Through the efforts of North County Special Needs Foundation and the generous financial support from Unified ESports League and support from the City and other civic and company supporters, Unified Social Club has been formed.

  2. How often will Club dates be scheduled?

    1. We are going to start twice a month. Check the website for event dates. Once you register for an event, we will send you email notification when a new date is scheduled

  3. Are there age restrictions?

    1. Yes ages 18 +. If there is enough interest, we hope to establish an 18 and under club.

  4. Do you need volunteers for Club Night activities?

    1. Yes, go to website to fill out the volunteer registration. While we do not require background checks, we do ask you to list on our form a reference or how you heard about the Club?

  5. Are aides or accompanying family members welcome if needed?

    1. Yes, when you register for an event, there is a space to notify us.

  6. Will refreshments be served?

    1. Yes. We expect support for water and light refreshments from gracious community sponsors.

  7. Is there a cost?

    1. There is no cost because of the generous support form sponsors and local community leaders.

  8. Are service animals welocme?

    1. Yes, they are please indicate so on your registration form.​

  9. Is there a limit on the number of participants per event?

    1. At this point in the beginning there is no limit but there probably will be because of the program's popularity. Our registration form will track the allowable number per event and notify registrants at the time of registering for a Club date.

  10. I give permission for photos or videos of me/my aide to be taken during Social Club activities. These images may be used for program materials, social media, or promotional purposes. No names will be used without additional permission.
  11. ​PLEASE MAKE ARRENGEMENTS TO PICK UP YOUR PARTICIAPNT PROMPTLY AT THE END OF PUBLISHED EVENT CLOSING TIME SO YOU CAN HEAR ALL ABOUT WHAT A GREAT TIME THEY HAD!! THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT
